Curriculum Overview (Ages 10-17)

This 4-week introductory program runs once per week (2 hours learning + 1 hour trampoline fun). It covers key AI concepts with practical activities tailored for two age groups.

Ages 10-13 (Innovators - Intro)

Focus: Grasping core AI ideas, basic prompting, using AI for search and creativity, understanding safe online practices.

Weekly Quest Log:

  • Week 1: Meet AI & Your First Prompt
    What is AI? Interacting with chatbots, giving clear instructions for fun results. (Safety: No personal info!)
  • Week 2: AI Search & Finding Facts
    Using AI for questions vs. Google. Asking 'Why?'. Spotting weird answers. (Critical Thinking: Double-check facts!)
  • Week 3: Creating with AI: Image Generation
    Using AI art tools. Prompting for simple objects/scenes. Trying basic styles. (Ethics: No fake images of people.)
  • Week 4: AI as Your Learning Buddy & Wrap-up
    Using AI to explain concepts, summarize text, brainstorm ideas. Mini-challenge combo. (Honesty: Use AI to learn, not cheat!)

Format: 1 session per week (2hrs learning + 1hr jump). Mix of guided activities, pair work, and individual exploration.

Ages 14-17 (Pioneers - Intro)

Focus: Understanding Generative AI basics, structured prompting, critical AI search evaluation, exploring image generation nuances, applying AI to learning effectively.

  • Week 3: Creating with AI: Image Generation
    Exploring styles, moods, negative prompts, aspect ratios. Discussing different AI art tools. (Ethics: Responsible creation.)
